# My profile and security

Open **My profile** from your name at the bottom of the menu. Everyone on the team can manage their own sign-in here, whatever their role.

## Change your password

Enter your current password, then your new one twice. New passwords need to be **at least 12 characters**.

## Add an authenticator app

An authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy and similar) adds a 6-digit code to your password sign-in. We recommend every team member turns this on.

1. **Start setup**

Under **Authenticator app**, choose **Set up authenticator app**.
2. **Scan the QR code**

Scan the code with your app. If you can't scan, type the key shown underneath instead.
3. **Confirm with a code**

Enter the 6-digit code your app shows, then choose **Turn on**.
4. **Save your recovery codes**

You're shown a set of recovery codes **once**. Copy them somewhere safe, such as a password manager. Each works one time if you lose your phone.

To remove the app later, enter your password and choose **Remove authenticator app**.

## Add a passkey

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face, device PIN or a security key. It counts as both your password and your second factor, so it is both quicker and safer.

1. Choose **Add passkey** and give it a name, such as "Work laptop", so you can tell your devices apart.
2. Your browser asks you to confirm. Follow its prompt.

You can add several passkeys, for example one per device, and remove any you no longer use. The list shows when each was added and last used.

> **Note**
>
> Passkeys need a recent browser (current Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox) and only work on the same web address they were created on. If your browser doesn't support them, the **Add passkey** button isn't shown.
